Colonel Michael S. Quinn graduated from Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and was commissioned a 2LT in the United States Army Chemical Corps in March 1993. He received his Master’s of Science Degree in Health Science (Emergency Management Concentration) from Touro University International in 2005.
Prior to his assignment at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, COL Quinn was assigned as Senior Military Advisor for CBRN Response and Preparedness Policy for the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Policy (Homeland Defense and Global Security) / Homeland Defense Integration and Defense Support of Civil Authorities).
At the field grade level, he has served as Battalion Executive and later Operations Officer for 22nd Chemical Battalion (Technical Escort), Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD; Corps CBRN Officer for the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (NATO) in Rheindahlen, GE; Chemical Branch Chief, U.S. Army Nuclear and Combating WMD Agency at Ft. Belvoir, VA; and Commander, U.S. Army Pueblo Chemical Depot, Pueblo, CO.
COL Quinn has served in Korea, Germany and Iraq and is a Joint Qualified Officer, Airborne and Technical Escort qualified, Incident Command and Crisis Media trained.
